Why Pakistan came into being?

Everyone has a story to tell and so as the countries.
Before 1947 there was a geographic area ruled by British govt. This subcontinent was a residence of different nations but major nations were the Hindus and the Muslims who could never amalgamate in one another.

Their motive:

The muslims and some of third class hindus were deprived of their basic rights.  The outclass posts and most of the prestigious jobs were for hindus and English while muslims were at the lose.
The development of Pakistan was the result of efforts of Muslims to achieve their religious rights.
They said:
"The root cause of a new state is not to get a piece of land but a place where we could follow the teachings of Islam."

Their leader Muhammad Ali Jinnah strived hard to get their dream come true. He, without any armed force or arsenal, got Pakistan.
Another motive behind Pakistan movement and two nation theory is the ideology of prepartition Muslims and leaders of Muslim league including Muhammad Ali Jinnah and allama iqbal is that, to reestablished the Muslim rule in south asia.
Once iqbal said:
"Pakistan came into being when first Muslim put his foot on the soil of sindh, the gateway of islam in India. "

Muslim league and Resolution:

Muslims made their own 'jamat' muslim league for the purpose of getting power.
In march 1940, the resolution of Pakistan passed and Muslims got a pathway to follow to reach on their dreams. They started protests, the students get on to the roads for their demands. They declared that hindus and muslims are two different nations and they can not live in a state, the establishment of Pakistan is necessary to maintain peace in the country.
The British while not approving of a separate Muslims homeland, appreciated the simplicity of voices of Jinnah and Muslims of India.

Cabinet mission plan :

To preserve unity of both nations, British arranged "cabinet mission plan". Muslims accepted this plan but Congress rejected it. After the failure of this plan, Muslims demanded the creation of new state more violently.

Lord Mountbatten :

The British P. M appointed "Lord Mountbatten" as india's last vicero, Lord Mountbatten was given the authority to make a decision for the peoples of India. Viceroy himself was not in favour of creation of separate state but couldn't convince Jinnah (muslim's leader).

3 june plan:

In his 3 June 1947 plan, he decided to make separate states for muslims and hindus. This plan was acceptable for both Muslims and hindus. Different regions got affiliation with the states of their own desire.

Independence :

On 14 august 1947, with the untired endeavour, Muhammd Ali Jinnah established a new state_ Pakistan, پاکستان.
Muhammad Ali jinnah was later given a byname "Quaid e Azam".
He became the first governor general of Pakistan.
